The core thesis of Deep Bound Research is that AI systems need more than intelligence. They need a robust operating layer that manages state, enforces permissions, and provides durable evidence of work. ### The Execution Gap Current AI adoption focuses on the 'prompt/response' paradigm. However, real-world operations require long-lived state, tool usage, and cross-system coordination. This creates an 'execution gap' where models are intelligent but systems are brittle. ### Runtime Governance To bridge this gap, we build 'Architectural Governors'—software layers that run alongside the model to validate plans, check constraints, and ensure that every action is reversible or at least inspectable. This technical note outlines our approach to building these governors, focusing on the principles of explicit authority and attenuated permissions.
